The Office of the General Counsel Joins the Sustainable Office Program

This year The Office of the General Counsel joined the growing list of offices that have taken part in Lehigh’s Sustainable Office Program! Lehigh’s Sustainable Office Program is a voluntary, self-guided program designed for faculty and staff to take the lead in promoting sustainable practices in the workplace.

The program is part of Lehigh’s Sustainability Strategic Plan 2030 and supports the university's top priorities of engaging the campus community in cultivating environmental stewardship. To that end, Lehigh is working to weave sustainable practices into “all levels of the institution and fostering a ‘One Lehigh’ sustainability culture across the university’s three campuses” (Sustainability Strategic Plan, p.16).

Looking ahead, the goal is to expand the program to “reach 70% of full-time faculty and staff by 2024, 85% by 2026 and 100% by 2030 (p.17). We invite you to join us, and all those participating to help reduce our environmental footprint, help the university save money, and meet Lehigh’s sustainability goals and commitments. Learn more.
