Due to the ongoing COVID-19 challened and Lehigh's recent decisions to address COVID-19, it is with a heavy heart that we will be cancelling this year's Sustainability Leadership Summit that was scheduled for April 20th from 4:30pm-6:30pm. We want to ensure the health and well-being of all faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
After some consideration, we have decided to move forward with Sustainability Leadership Award nominations for awards. Award recipients will have their awards shipped to them.
Call for Nominations
The inaugural Lehigh Sustainability Leadership Awards nomination period has begun and will continue through Friday, April 3 at 5:00pm. The purpose of the Lehigh Sustainability Awards is to recognize the contributions of the Lehigh community members and friends of Lehigh in advancing sustainability initiatives on campus. You are encouraged to take this opportunity to nominate faculty, staff, students, and friends of Lehigh for being a sustainability champion and for making a large impact in the last year at Lehigh. Nominations are currently being accepted for the following prestigious awards:
- Undergraduate Student Sustainability Award
- Graduate Student Sustainability Award
- Faculty Sustainability Award
- Staff Sustainability Award
- Sustainable Office Program Award
- Friends of Campus Sustainability Award

Overall Award Criteria:
- Meet or exceed campus sustainability goals; demonstrate embodying core values of environmental conservation, social equity, and economic prosperity.
- Engage the campus and community in an ongoing dialogue focused on building a more just and verdant world.
- Integrate sustainability - environmental, social and economic health - with existing campus programs within academics, research, operations, and public service.
- Instill a culture of generating transformative ideas that are scalable, achievable, quantifiable, and encourage sustainable long-range planning and forward thinking design.
Please submit your nomination(s) by 5:00pm on Friday, April 3 and include a bried statement explaining why your nominee meets the award criteria and is deserving of the recognition.
