Lehigh can positively impact the campus environment as well as the surrounding community by managing relevant aspects of institutional operations. Below are some highlights of our efforts within Operations.
  • We currently have two buildings certified under the green building rating system, one with LEED Silver for existing building, gained after its renovation, and one with LEED Gold for new construction, using USGBC rating system.
  • Our actions to increase real food on campus resulted in 10% of dining services food and beverage expenditures, and 10% of on-site franchise, convenience store, vending services, and concessions food and beverage purchases that are local and community-based.
  •  In 2014, we reduced 4.87% of energy use per sq ft over 2007 baseline.
  • Student’s main modes of transportation to get to and from campus are non-motorized – 62.6% of students walk or bicycle.
