Bethlehem Farmers' Market Opening for 16th Season

You are here

In just a few short weeks the Bethlehem Farmers’ Market (BFM) will be opening for its 16th season! Located in Southside Bethlehem in Farrington Square at Lehigh University, the Bethlehem Farmers’ Market is a seasonal staple for the Lehigh community and local community alike.

The market offers fresh produce, lunch items, baked goods, natural goods, and more to Bethlehem and Lehigh Valley residents. A proud member of Buy Fresh Buy Local - Greater Lehigh Valley, this local, producer-only farmers’ market will begin its 16th season on Thursday, April 27th, 2023.

Deb Martin, Manager of the Bethlehem Farmers’ Market, is excitedly preparing for the opening day of the market, which she considers one of the “highlights” of the season each year.

“A highlight for me each year is the first market of the season. So much effort goes into getting everything ready and there's a lot of nervous anticipation among the vendors. Will customers come? Will they like what I have to offer? When people start wandering into the market on that first day, they're kind of like the early bumblebees that you see in spring that are delighted to find something yummy to eat” said Martin.

Mark your calendars and be sure to stop by to enjoy the return of fresh produce, sweet treats, savory sandwiches, locally made products, and live music to Farrington Square! The market will run from 10 AM - 2 PM with live music from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
