Artist Deirdre Murphy leads a fun and interactive workshop that invites families to explore the world of plants and pollinators! Together, we’ll take a closer look at the beauty of nature through mindful observation, like keeping a nature journal. You’ll learn cool techniques like frottage (leaf rubbing), printing, and contour drawing to capture the shapes and patterns of plants that are helping restore our local ecosystem.
Bring along an old book or journal if you’d like to upcycle it into a special receptacle for your botanical creations!
Limited to 20 participants. Please register in advance to help us plan for your visit and ensure we have enough materials for everyone! All ages are welcome. Kids younger than 5 years old may need help from their family members with the activity.
