Lehigh will be hosting several events to celebrate Earth Week (April 16-22), the week leading up to Earth Day on April 22. Lehigh’s Earth Week celebration events will begin on April 14 and conclude with a vibrant Earth Day Fair on April 20 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the UC Front Lawn. This year’s theme is “This is OUR planet: How will you help sustain it?”
The Earth Day Fair seeks to promote environmental stewardship, educate students, faculty and staff about sustainable living and improve quality of life. Lehigh groups and organizations as well as outside vendors are encouraged to set up an interactive booth. To sign up for a booth for your organization, fill out this form by March 23.
During Earth Week, be sure to catch a talk on sustainability, take part in a sustainability bike tour, and watch a waste audit take place throughout the course of Earth Week! We must embrace our responsibility to curb our environmental impact and protect the planet for future generations. Make this Earth Week one to remember both with fond memories and with meaningful impact.
