The Office of Sustainability, in collaboration with Transportation Services & Parking Services, Auxiliary Services. Barnes & Noble, and Ricoh are partnering to host a Car Free Day Vendor Showcase on Friday, September 19th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Butz Plaza. The showcase will feature local vendors who support more sustainable travel. The showcase will bring a communal, friendly, and fun environment to Lehigh. For those who sign the pledge for Car Free Day, you will be invited to our VIP Breakfast where you will have your choice of a bagel sandwich, fruit, coffee, and tea. Car Free Day is designed to promote alternative means of transportation such as biking, walking, running, and carpooling. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, transportation accounts for 27% of all carbon emissions in America. Car Free Day is a step in the right direction - a step toward environmentally responsible living and commuting. Come join us on Car Free Day and have fun with your friends and colleagues!
