Learning Inside the Classroom
Lehigh currently offers 110 undergraduate and graduate courses that are either based in sustainability, or include sustainability-related topics. Through these courses, Lehigh students have the opportunity to leverage their inherent curiosity, engage with content, ask questions, and seek answers through discussion inside the classroom. In many cases, students engage in experiential learning through class projects or case studies related to sustainability.
Learning Outside the Classroom
Lehigh fosters interdisciplinary, experiential learning opportunities that give students a hands-on learning experience outside of the traditional classroom. Through these collaborative experiences, students pursue creative and innovative answers to open-ended questions and develop their competencies for inquiry, discovery, and teamwork. These experiential learning experiences allow students to identify opportunities to implement innovative solutions that will shape lives, the campus, our community and the world, for the better.
Lehigh faculty, staff, and students thrive on community and collaboration. Lehigh has established several community partnerships that enrich students' learning through context. These partnerships spark innovation and create stronger links between Lehigh faculty, staff, students, and the South Bethlehem community.
