Every year on April 22, Earth Day marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970.

Lehigh Releases Climate Action Strategy

A key component of Lehigh's Sustainability Strategic Plan 2030, Lehigh has released its Climate Action Strategy report, which outlines nine major emissions reduction strategies. Lehigh’s ‘Pathway to Zero’ emissions includes a portfolio of strategies that result in Lehigh realizing operational savings while achieving net carbon neutrality by 2040. Learn more.

 

 

Lehigh Earns 2021 Tree Campus Higher Education Recognition

Lehigh has been recognized for its work in preserving the trees and green space on campus by the Arbor Day Foundation, which named Lehigh as a 2021 Tree Campus Higher Education institution.

Lehigh Achieves Gold Rating in 2022 STARS Report for Second Straight Year

Lehigh submitted its eighth report to the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education’s (AASHE) Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System (STARS) in February and has received a gold rating for the second year in a row, with a score of 72.75. This is an increase of 10.58%, or 6.96 points, from last year.
