Come to Rathbone Dining Hall on October 20th for fun and interactive activities to celebrate World Food Day. World Food Day is an annual, international celebration, with organized events in 150 different countries. This year World Food Day is focused on promoting awareness of food insecurity worldwide with the theme “Change the Future of Migration. Invest in Food Security and Rural Development.”

Established by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the official World Food Day is on October 16th. Lehigh will be celebrating this day on October 20th, with our celebration designed to raise awareness about food insecurity in the Lehigh Valley and Pennsylvania. From 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, Rathbone will be transformed into a center for conversation and action as it relates to food waste and food insecurity. Come learn about this topic and find out how YOU can help address this issue in the Lehigh Valley.  Together, we can make a difference!
