Take part in an effort to reduce, reuse and recycle during this year’s Recyclemania competition by donating your used athletic shoes right here at Lehigh. This shoe drive will take place between February 15 and March 1, and your donated shoes will be supporting a great cause.
All shoes will be donated to the MORE Foundation (Modular Organic Regenerative Environments), a Delaware-based organization that focuses its work on combating poverty, teaching farming and selling shoes. With every pair of used athletic shoes, MORE is able to plant one ton of carbon grounding trees and train farmers in sustainable practices. The shoes will then be sold in major cities around the world to vendors who create jobs and improve the quality of life in their cities.
Think of all the used athletic shoes you have sitting around, often too small and never to be worn again. Make sure these shoes don’t end up in a landfill. Drop off your shoes at any of these drop off locations around campus between February 15 and March!
