Plan Engagement

The Office of Sustainability and the Lehigh Sustainability Council are engaging the talented Lehigh campus community - faculty, staff, students, and alumni - as well as the broader Bethlehem community during the one-year strategic planning phase for Lehigh's next Sustainability Plan. In February and March, the Office of Sustainability hosted a two-part series of Campus Sustainability Strategic Planning Workshops open to all faculty, staff, and students on both Asa Packer Campus and Mountaintop Campus. Part one of the workshop series was focused on understanding progress on Lehigh's Sustainability goals. Part two of the workshop was focused on crafting a sustainability strategy and goals.

In addition to these campus workshops, the Office of Sustainability, in collaboration with Development & Alumni Relations, established an Alumni Advisory Council for the next Sustainability Strategic Plan. This council is made up of nine esteemed alumni. View their bios. Learn more about alumni who are engaged in sustainability here. This Council is tasked with:

Advising the Office of Sustainability during the strategic planning process and serving as a sounding board for the Sustainability Officer
Serving as a subject matters expert
Shaping the vision, goals, and strategic priorities for the next Plan
Assisting in advancing Lehigh's sustainability agenda

The Office of Sustainability will also be hosting a community meeting in the coming months. It currently has been postponed due to COVID-19. Stay tuned for updates.
