Establishing a program that offers incentives for faculty in multiple disciplines to develop new sustainability courses and/or to incorporate sustainability into existing courses is one of the goals within the Lehigh Campus Sustainability Plan 2020. This goal aims to increase student learning of sustainability across disciplines.
In December 2018, the Office of Sustainability and the Lehigh Sustainability Council's Curriculum Subcommittee held a day-long workshop for faculty to learn how to integrate sustainability into their courses. Over the last year, several faculty members have revised their syllabi to incorporate sustainability and received a $500 stipend for doing so. If you are interested in learning more about integrating sustainability into your course(s), please contact sustainability@lehigh.edu. Additional faculty workshop(s) will be scheduled in spring 2020.
