Sips & Sustainability: The First Sustainable Social Gathering

You are here

Lehigh’s Office of Sustainability hosted a fun and relaxed social gathering at South Bethlehem’s popular coffee and bake shop, “Lit,” for the Office of Sustainability student staff and other groups, faculty, staff and students involved in the university’s environmental programs, whether academic or extracurricular. The event was designed as a laid-back, informal celebration of Lehigh Sustainability that brought people together who have an expressed interest or involvement in sustainability.

The event took place on Tuesday, October 23 from 4:30 - 7 p.m. The group chatted, networked and played games in front of a platter of desserts provided by the venue. Delicia Nahman, Lehigh’s Sustainability Officer, was in attendance, along with some of her family. Besides the office’s staff, Earth & Environmental graduate students, members of the Eco-Reps club, and other Lehigh students & faculty came together and listened to upbeat live music while discussing various topics related to sustainability.

With over 25 people in attendance and positive feedback, our spring semester social is currently being planned. Come check us out next semester and be a part of Lehigh’s campus culture of sustainability! More details will be released as they are finalized.
