    Beekeeping Club
The Beekeeping Club was established by students in 2014 thanks to a SIG grant. The club raises awareness about the important role honeybees play in the environment and to promote sustainability.
  • Lehigh Bee Cam
    Lehigh Bee Cam
SIG facilitated the purchase and installation of an outdoor live feed camera for the bee hives on Mountaintop Campus. The goal of the project is to spread awareness of beekeeping and the importance of pollinators to the Lehigh community.
  • Eco-House Community Garden
    Eco-House Community Garden
The Sustainable Initiative Grant facilitated the purchase of seeds, plants, and materials to create organic, raised garden beds at the Eco-House to teach residents about sustainable food production and organic gardening.
  • Lehigh Heritage Park
    Lehigh Heritage Park
The Sustainable Initiative Grant funded a Technical Entrepreneurship class to determine how to use the Lehigh historic property and turn it into a park. This property is unique because the pumping engine is the only structure of its kind in the US.
The Sustainable Initiative Grant provides one-time grants of up to $2,000 to students, faculty, and staff to facilitate green pilot projects.

The Sustainable Initiative Grant, formerly known as the GreenFund, provides financial resources to members of the Lehigh community who want to pilot innovative and scalable ideas to create a greener, more sustainable campus. One-time grants of up to $2,000 will be awarded to students, faculty, and staff to facilitate green pilot projects.
